Did you experience the past weeks as one long sigh of relief? Vigilance remains necessary so that the easing of Covid restrictions can continue step by step. But almost all of us felt it in the first days after the shutdown: it is wonderful to be able to see friends and distant relatives again. That is why we placed this issue under the collective title 'Comeback' — because now the pleasure of the senses is returning too. We have a great deal of catching up to do: along the Istrian coast, where we compiled the most exciting new and many familiar gourmet addresses (from p. 136); in Budapest, where our 'Long Weekend' takes us (from p. 216); or on the wide beaches of the 'Danish Riviera', where even in high summer there is always enough space. For those staying home: our wine editors compiled a selection of summer wines from white to rosé to sparkling (from p. 60), we researched the latest grilling trends with expert tips (from p. 120), and listed the best Heurigen wine taverns across Austria — the result of the biggest wine tavern survey of the year (from p. 186).
